Our Mission and Values
Crystal Beach Adventures was created to share the amazing gifts that Nature, especially horses, have shown me, to share the kindness of the wildness. You may discover opportunities within this reality that you never knew existed – you may find space to just Be. Every experience is a new adventure.
This was a favourite vacation spot from approximately 1912 until the early 1950’s. That energy of joy and connection and fun still lives here.
Services
Are you willing to discover and receive the tools for transformational change AND put them into action? This is a results-based, action required, powerful program. The herd and facilitators will offer suggestions, provide clarity and various tools to you. How and when you choose to implement them is your choice. Discover from horses how to love your truth with kindness, clarity and humor. We learn when we decide to learn, all effective coaches can do is present the information in a way the learner can learn.
Most people appreciate and find Joy in the beauty of wildness. Some even long for it. However, I have noticed that either society or individuals feel a need to “domesticate” and frame that wildness like a painting and it on their wall, essentially destroying that wild energy and instinct in Nature, animals, people and ultimately themselves to fit in. My desire is to expose people to Joy, wildness and laughter within themselves and share it with others.

Equine Assisted Learning
Equine assisted wellness carries several different names and focuses, including Equine Assisted Psychothereapy, Equine Facilitated Counselling, Equine Facilitated Mental Health, Equine Assisted Personal Development, all of which fall under the general heading of Equine Assisted Learning. This experiential modality invites horses to provide immediate feedback via the facilitator to the client. Horses are prey animals and are extremely sensitive to their surroundings, actions occurring and atmosphere of their environment. Each horse has unique abilities, personality and gifts, and each herd of horses combine leadership, awarenesses, and personalities. Each session is unique in structure, some will include structured exercises, some will be at liberty and some will include both. Alana is certified by EAL Canada.
Kindred Communication
This is my passion – clear, effective communication and connection with our partners. Working with the horses who communicate mostly with body language and intention has the potential to teach us the importance of congruency in all areas of our life. I have observed and interacted with many horses and other species my whole life and continue to learn from them as well as humans who have studied both on an experiential as well as in controlled scientific trials. There are several books, studies, and principles that I recommend and will share with those interested in creating better partnerships in their lives.
We will host a weekly group session with you and your chosen horse – either your own or one I will assign. Each participant will be need to commit to at least one private session per week and occasionally a classroom session as a group. All aspects of horsemanship will be addressed and training will be dependent on handler’s skills and the age and soundness of the horse. Commitment will be on a monthly basis, and training milestones based on individual schedules – working with young horses may take longer to reach targets, working with physical limitations may have different objectives, etc.
Connection Spaces
Bringing a combination of energies to a semi-structured starting place, bringing people together in an experiential event of joy, connection and adventure, and playing in nature with horses having the choice to contribute. Each adventure will be dependent on who chooses to shows up and how we show up. This is a safe space to explore and expand who you are and who you are not. Possibilities include healing, laughing, dancing, relief, joy, and a rainbow of other emotions.
Limit of 10 participants for each group.
Your voice matters. We invite you to create specific events with Crystal Beach Adventures. Do you want to connect with only men? Only women? Maybe you imagine a just for kids group. Do you want to bring in the energy of the full moon or the new moon? A limited time repeating group is great for witnessing each other’s transformations. We are excited to share this space, its energies, and the horses with you in the ways that feel right for everyone.
