Our Services

We have offerings to give you the best opportunity for success in the way that calls to you.

How it Works

1

Make the choice to step into Nature and play with Horse Wisdom

This choice is an investment in yourself.

2

Call or text to book meet and greet the Herd

Allowing the first meeting to happen at a time before the session allows more room to focus on the session when the time comes.

3

Read, sign and submit waivers and releases

The rules here are important for your safety, our safety, and the safety of our animals.

Fill out and submit form.

4

Take a deep breath and smile at your choice

You’ve done the hardest part – made the choice.

5

Leave expectations and judgements at home, attend your session and be open and willing to receive the gifts and opportunities offered

Show up mindfully and authentically.

6

Record or journal your experience

Deepen your understanding through reflection.

7

Practice self care, hydrate and regulate

Expand your new awarenesses into all areas of your life.

8

Consider who you know that might also benefit from a similar experience and pay it forward

When we share our successes, we multiply our joy.

Equine Assisted Learning

Each session promotes learning life skills, giving participants the chance to experience confidence, trust and empathy through observation and new awarenesses. Sessions are located with the horses, either in their space or in a fenced off space next to the horses.

Equine Assisted Personal Development

One-on-one time with an Equine Assisted Personal Development Coach. The role of the EAPD Coach is to help others to improve, develop, learn new skills, find personal success, achieve aims and to manage life change and personal challenges. Each session will involve some discussion time, horse/human interaction, and debriefing. Each week with the horses help, new discoveries will be made, exciting opportunities realized and steps taken toward a goal.
Sessions are usually once a week lasting for 6 to 8 week.

Family or Small Group Sessions

An EAPD Coach will work with a family, extended family, friends, or small organizations where a third party can provide the vehicle to bring about understanding and unity. Sessions can be targeted to rebuilding families, improving communication, strengthening marriages, dealing with children with as-risk behavior, understanding the dynamics of extended families, or help families deal with divorce, loss of family members, or critical illness. The horses are part of every session, and often become the vehicle that opens up dialogue. Each session will identify a particular area that needs addressing, and steps to finding solutions.
Sessions are usually once a week lasting for 6 to 8 week.

Learn to Train

This mentoring program offers the unique opportunity to learn training skills even if you don’t currently own a horse. Safety of the horse and human are at the forefront and sessions will be supervised at all times. This takes experiential learning to a whole new level. The majority of the sessions will be in a group session where the participants will get to observe other students and horse’s development. Theory sessions will be included as part of the program. If required, private sessions may be scheduled, group participation is strongly encouraged. The horses included in the program may be future lesson horses or possibly offered for sale to lucky new owners with first chance to purchase to go to the “trainer”. Groups will be limited to 4 per session.

EAL Associate

Full or Half Day Introduction to Equine Assisted Learning

This program demonstrates how EAL works. Become a certified wrangler (assisting certified facilitators and accessing the energy of sessions) and join the herd in changing lives.

Other Opportunities

Alana has experience with various energy and body healing modalities. What would be possible if you invited your own abilities, knowings and inate wisdom, and receive energy in a way that invites healing? Sessions can be in nature, with horses offering contributions, or in our studio.

Connection Spaces

Bringing a combination of energies to a semi-structured starting place, bringing people together in an experiential event of joy, connection and adventure, and playing in nature with horses having the choice to contribute. Each adventure will be dependent on who chooses to shows up and how we show up. This is a safe space to explore and expand who you are and who you are not. Possibilities include healing, laughing, dancing, relief, joy, and a rainbow of other emotions.

Limit of 10 participants for each group.

Herd Healing

This individual session is conducted intuitively. We allow the animals – the welcoming committee, donkey, and the herd – to connect and shift energy as they know best. You receive the individual attention of Alana who escorts you wherever you are comfortable or drawn to. Conversation is both guided and spontaneous as your session unfolds.

Testimonial

“Not knowing what to expect and not being around horses much made me a bit nervous. Donkey helped me out there and then we moved throughout the property and the horses invited me to follow and play and share and find pieces of me that needed attention. Some horses departed and others came to bless me with their gifts. It was an amazing experience with the second group who, when they left for further pastures as their work with me was done, left me feeling at ease in a way that I haven’t experienced in years. The next day, it felt like the anxiety I’ve been carrying was reset to more normal levels and I was able to self-regulate those anxious moments with clarity and gentleness. The whole experience was unexpected and beautiful and even a week later, I am still experiencing this reset level of calm and ease.” -Suzi

Kindred Communication

This is my passion – clear, effective communication and connection with our partners. Working with the horses who communicate mostly with body language and intention has the potential to teach us the importance of congruency in all areas of our life. I have observed and interacted with many horses and other species my whole life and continue to learn from them as well as humans who have studied both on an experiential as well as in controlled scientific trials. There are several books, studies, and principles that I recommend and will share with those interested in creating better partnerships in their lives.

We will host a weekly group session with you and your chosen horse – either your own or one I will assign. Each participant will be need to commit to at least one private session per week and occasionally a classroom session as a group. All aspects of horsemanship will be addressed and training will be dependent on handler’s skills and the age and soundness of the horse. Commitment will be on a monthly basis, and training milestones based on individual schedules – working with young horses may take longer to reach targets, working with physical limitations may have different objectives, etc.
